Beyond receiving items the children really needed, the Christmas drive organized by (Mike Boswell/the Boswell Foundation), reminded our children that they are not forgotten -- they are very much loved. They were honestly overwhelmed that someone who doesn't even know them would share a gift. It was a display of the unconditional love of God our Father: they did nothing to "deserve" it, but they received it, anyway. We're grateful for those who made Christmas merrier for the kids. For more than 50 years, Show-Me Christian Youth Home has been "Compelled by Christ to Rescue and Restore Young Lives." In addition to providing daily care through a nurturing, traditional family, Show-Me also provides layers of support to vulnerable children of all ages, geared toward helping each one overcome the misfortunes of their past and preparing them for a healthy future. Show-Me is completely donor supported with no funding from state or federal sources -- it's our testimony to show children, and the world, what God does through His people.
