Give a Child a Christmas 2021

December 2021

Helping children in need feel Christ's love though giving from someone else!

The Boswell Family Charitable Foundation partnered with the the Show-Me Christian Youth home this Christmas to Give a Child a Christmas.

There were six children that were a part of the program and money was donated to help buy Christmas gifts for each child.

Athena, a 14 year old in 8th grade, along with her little brother, Joseph, has been a member of the Show-Me family for nearly town years. Athena loves animals and Bible is her favorite school subject. Though not a huge sport fan, she played volleyball and basketball this year surprising us with her talent.

Next on the list is Joseph, he is 10 years old and in 5th grade. He's a bright student who enjoys math, and is really into the Mandelorian series. Show-Me has been his home for nearly 2 years. He's an active boy, especially "fierce" with his nerf gun arsenal.

Justus, a 15 year old freshman has discovered much hidden athletic talent since he arrived last year; though he'd never had an opportunity to play before. He frequently fielded the Varsity roster in soccer and basketball. He's a Kansas Jayhawk fan, as well as Kansas City Chiefs and Memphis Grizzlies fan.

Luke is a 17 year old junior this year. He is a scholar-athlete, having lettered in every sport while maintaining honor roll status each quarter. He love the New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs. At this point, Luke plans to attend a tech or trade school and "work with his hands." He is called Show-Me "home" for five years.

Midas just joined the Show-Me family in November. He's an active little boy, as most two year-olds are. He loves playing with the cats and dogs, and doing anything outside. Teddy grahams and story time can slow him down just long enough for cuddling with his mom and dad here.

Tristan was Show-Me's only senior this year. Tristan loves basketball, the Kansas City Chiefs, and history. He hopes to join the Army after graduation; he has also applied to the College of the Ozarks as a backup plan. Tristan has called Show-Me "home" for six years.
